The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) World Championship was first officially announced at Moonton Epicon 2019. It will be happening from November 15th - 17th at the Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (same location as KL Major 2018). This inaugural MLBB world championship is also known cryptically as M1.

Today, the prize pool breakdown was officially revealed. The best 16 teams from 14 regions across the globe will be competing for a prize pool of US$ 250,000. The champion will be rewarded with US$ 80,000 and the title of MLBB's inaugural World Champion.

Qualifier countries

Southeast Asian region: Thailand and Laos (1 team) and Cambodia (1 team)

European region: Russia (1 team) and Turkey (1 team)

North American region: United States (1 team)

South American region: Brazil (1 team)

US$ 42,000 in prize money is up for grabs for teams who successfully qualify.

The countries with MPLs (MLBB Professional Leagues) will not need to go through that process, as we expect the top teams to receive direct invitations. These countries include Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines and Singapore.

Interestingly, Vietnam does not have a professional league, but might not need a qualifier. This could signal that the next MPL will be in Vietnam.
