Boruto is officially hitting the big 10, and Shueisha looks ready to treat the milestone like a proper shonen anniversary moment.
The Boruto manga series, which began as the direct sequel to Naruto, reaches its 10th anniversary in 2026. According to reports, Shueisha will start rolling out several celebration projects from June 4, 2026.
The first wave includes an explanation video, plus a huge Story Guide book that reportedly runs around 600 pages. That is the kind of release clearly aimed at fans who either need a refresher after years of chapters, or want one chunky reference book covering the journey so far. For Malaysian fans who jumped in and out of Boruto over the years — especially after the shift into Two Blue Vortex — this could be useful if it eventually gets easier to import or receives wider availability.
Shueisha is also preparing more manga releases around the anniversary push. The eighth standalone tankobon volume of Boruto -Two Blue Vortex- is part of the plan, alongside a coloured version of the new arc’s first volume. On top of that, the company is planning the first character figure based on the Two Blue Vortex arc.
That figure bit is worth watching for SEA collectors. Naruto and Boruto merch already moves strongly across the region, from anime shops to convention booths to reseller listings on Shopee and local hobby groups. A first figure tied specifically to Two Blue Vortex could become one of those items that spikes fast if the character choice is popular.
For context, Boruto -Naruto Next Generations- launched in 2016 as the follow-up to Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto. The series follows Boruto, Naruto’s son, in a shinobi world that has changed a lot since the original manga. The newer major arc, Boruto -Two Blue Vortex-, began in Japan in 2024 and later reached Western releases in 2025.
As of April 2026, the latest standalone Two Blue Vortex volume released in Japan is volume seven, which came out in February 2026. The anniversary timing is slightly interesting too: Boruto first appeared in the 23rd 2016 issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, published by Shueisha on May 9, 2016. So while the technical anniversary lands in May, the main celebration projects are scheduled to begin on June 4, 2026.
For Malaysian anime and manga fans, the main thing is simple: Boruto is entering a proper legacy phase now. Ten years is long enough for a sequel series to stop feeling like “that Naruto follow-up” and start being judged on its own arcs, characters, and collector value. Two Blue Vortex has already been the big reset point for many readers, so Shueisha building the anniversary around guides, volumes, colour editions, and figures makes sense.
Now we wait to see whether these anniversary items stay Japan-focused or become easier for international fans to grab. Either way, Boruto fans in SEA should probably keep an eye on June.
