Demon Slayer fans, keep your breathing steady — we might finally be getting movement on Infinity Castle Part 2.
According to ComicBook Anime, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has been confirmed for a Super Stage slot at Jump Festa 2027, happening in Japan over the December 19-20 weekend. That does not automatically mean a trailer is coming, but for a franchise this huge, a major stage with no update would feel like a very sus play.
The timing is why fans are paying attention. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle launched last year and became a massive theatrical event worldwide. It was also only the first movie in a planned trilogy adapting the manga's Infinity Castle arc, so naturally everyone has been waiting to see what Ufotable is cooking for the next chapter.
So far, though? Almost nothing concrete.
The only official detail currently out there is that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle II is in development at Ufotable. The studio previously listed the sequel among its “Future Projects” during a presentation earlier this year, but did not reveal a release date, release window, production staff, cast details, or new footage.
That makes Jump Festa 2027 the obvious event to watch. Shueisha's annual showcase often brings updates, first looks, trailers, and announcements for major Shonen Jump properties. To be clear, not every Super Stage guarantees a future-project reveal. But when a series as big as Demon Slayer has had a full year of silence around its next movie, this is exactly the kind of stage where fans would expect at least something — even if it is just a teaser visual or production status update.
For Malaysia and SEA anime fans, the practical takeaway is simple: treat this as a watchlist alert, not a release confirmation. There is currently no new official information in the source about Malaysian cinema dates, SEA availability, local screenings, or regional release timing. Analysis/inference: if Jump Festa does deliver a trailer or release window, that would likely be the starting point for fans here to judge when the hype cycle really begins again.
The story itself is also entering serious endgame territory. The second Infinity Castle film is expected to continue directly after the first movie, with Tanjiro Kamado and the remaining Demon Slayers trapped inside Muzan Kibutsuji's Infinity Castle. The source notes that the first film already brought heavy losses on both sides, and the next entry is set to push the battles even harder.
If you need a refresher before December, the first Infinity Castle movie has also reportedly expanded its streaming availability. ComicBook Anime lists Netflix, Hulu, Crunchyroll, and Prime Video as platforms carrying the film.
For now, the clean read is this: Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle II is real, Ufotable is working on it, but the official rollout has not properly started yet. Jump Festa 2027 might be where that finally changes. Until then, no overhype — just eyes on December.
