Granblue fans, ada benda baru to watch this week. Cygames has announced Granblue Fantasy: Relink - Endless Ragnarok, an upgraded version of Granblue Fantasy: Relink, and it is getting an open beta test from April 24 to April 27 on all platforms.

For players who have been waiting to see what this updated release actually brings, the beta sounds like a proper hands-on preview instead of just a tiny demo. Cygames says players will get access to an offline tutorial, 12 playable characters, four online quests, and summons gameplay during the test period.

That alone should be enough to get existing Relink players curious, especially since Endless Ragnarok is being positioned as more than a simple re-release. Cygames describes it as an upgraded version of the original game with additional content, and it also comes with a new story.

One extra detail that stands out is the Nintendo Switch 2 version. During the open beta, that version will support local wireless play, which is a nice bonus for anyone who likes bringing their console to lepak sessions, campus meetups, or gaming gatherings with friends. For Malaysian and wider SEA players, that kind of feature matters more than people think, because local multiplayer convenience can seriously affect whether a game gets played regularly or just sits in the backlog.

Cygames also released a 7-minute introduction video for the new game, and it is available with both English subtitles and an English dub. That is good news for local players who want to catch up quickly without needing to dig through Japanese-only material.

If you already own the original Granblue Fantasy: Relink on supported platforms, you will not need to buy the whole thing again from scratch. Cygames says owners can upgrade to the Endless Ragnarok version for US$29.99 for the standard edition or US$54.99 for the special edition.

For anyone new to the game, Granblue Fantasy: Relink is an action RPG produced by Koichi Haruta and directed by Tetsuya Fukuhara, with character design by Hideo Minaba and music by Nobuo Uematsu and Tsutomu Narita. The game lets players choose between the male and female main characters, traditionally known across the franchise as Gran and Djeeta. The wider cast includes familiar names like Lyria, Vyrn, Katalina, Rackam, Io, Eugen, Rosetta, Rolan, Lancelot, Vane, Percival, Siegfried, Narmaya, Yodarha, and Charlotta. Furycane appears as a primal beast, while Id shows up as an enemy.

The original Granblue Fantasy: Relink launched in February 2024 for PS5, PS4, and PC via Steam, following multiple delays. It also supports multiplayer cross-play between PS5 and PS4, and Cygames previously confirmed localizations in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish.

For SEA fans, this beta is worth keeping an eye on for two reasons. First, it gives current players a clearer idea of whether the upgrade is substantial enough to justify the price. Second, it is another sign that Cygames still sees room to grow Relink beyond its original launch window, which is always a good sign for fans who want a game to stay relevant instead of disappearing after the first big release month.

If you have been craving another excuse to jump back into the Sky Realm, this weekend's beta might be it.
