Granblue Fantasy Relink: Endless Ragnarok Turns Gallanza and Maglielle Into Playable Fighters

Granblue Fantasy Relink: Endless Ragnarok is giving players two very familiar faces to control this time: Gallanza and Maglielle.

The latest character reveals confirm that both former boss characters will become playable in the updated release. If you played the original Granblue Fantasy Relink, these two are not random new additions. They were major fights during the story, so seeing them move from enemy side to your crew is the kind of roster upgrade that will immediately catch fans' attention.

Gallanza appears earlier in the original game, showing up as a boss in Chapter 4. Based on his new gameplay trailer, his playable version keeps that aggressive front-line style. He fights with a polearm, using wide slashing attacks, forward thrusts, and aerial dives to pressure enemies up close.

Basically, if you like characters who jump straight into the mess and keep swinging, Gallanza looks built for that unga-bunga melee brain. For Malaysian and SEA players who enjoy co-op action RPGs with clear roles, he seems like the type who can anchor the frontline while teammates handle buffs, ranged damage, or support.

Maglielle, meanwhile, brings a very different flavour. In the original Relink story, players encounter her later, around Chapter 6. Her new footage shows her attacking from range by sending blades at enemies, which already makes her feel less risky than Gallanza. But she is not just a simple projectile character.

Her Symphony Superior move expands her arsenal with other weapon types, including a hammer and a gun. That gives her a flashy, almost weapon-orchestra identity that fits Granblue's usual anime chaos. For players who prefer spacing, stylish ranged pressure, and big-screen effects, Maglielle could be the more interesting pick.

This matters because Granblue Fantasy Relink has always landed nicely with the anime-JRPG crowd: big character personalities, fast combat, and enough co-op action to make boss grinding feel like a squad activity. In SEA, where a lot of players split time between PC, PlayStation, and now Switch ecosystems, having more playable characters gives the game extra replay value — especially if your friend group already cleared the original release.

Endless Ragnarok is also notable because it is headed to Switch 2 alongside PS4, PS5, and PC. That Switch 2 version could be a big deal for players here who want a portable action RPG but still care about proper console-scale combat. No Malaysia pricing has been shared in the source material, so we will have to wait for regional storefront listings before talking RM damage.

Granblue Fantasy Relink: Endless Ragnarok is scheduled to release on July 9, 2026 for Switch 2, PS4, PS5, and PC.
