Saitama is not done punching through the anime calendar yet. Bandai Namco Filmworks has revealed through a new trailer that the second cours of One-Punch Man Season 3 is scheduled to debut in January 2027.
Viz Media is also streaming an English-subtitled version of the trailer, so international fans can catch the tease without needing to guess what is going on from visuals alone.
The new trailer confirms another big return: JAM Project will perform the next opening theme, titled “Never Done - SUPREME POWER VS ULTIMATE FEAR -.” For longtime anime fans, that name carries serious hype energy. JAM Project’s style fits the over-the-top hero versus monster chaos that One-Punch Man runs on, so this is the kind of music pick that immediately makes sense.
The anime’s official website has also shown off a fresh key visual for the upcoming part.
Quick recap: where Season 3 is now
Season 3 first returned with a recap episode on October 5, 2025. The next week, the anime aired its overall 25th episode, which also served as the first proper episode of the third season.
According to the source, the season is streaming on Hulu in the U.S., Disney+ in Canada, and Netflix in Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand. Crunchyroll is also carrying the anime in Latin America and Oceania.
For Malaysia and SEA readers, here’s the important part: the source article does not name a Malaysia or Southeast Asia streaming platform for this new January 2027 cours. So don’t take this announcement as a local streaming confirmation yet. The date is confirmed in the trailer announcement, but regional availability still needs its own clear update.
The studio and staff situation
J.C. Staff is back to animate Season 3, after also handling the second season. The first season, which aired in Japan from October to December 2015, was animated by Madhouse. Season 2 began with a TV special in April 2019, followed by its first episode one week later.
For this third season, Shinpei Nagai is directing at J.C. Staff. Tomohiro Suzuki returns to handle series scripts, while Chikashi Kubota is also back as character designer, this time joined by Shinjiro Kuroda and Ryōsuke Shirakawa.
There are some changes in the production team too. Sakura Murakami is now art director, after previously working on background art for Season 2. Mayumi Tanahashi returns as colour designer, while Yuki Hirose is now director of photography, taking over from Season 2’s Yoshio Ōkouchi. Masahiro Gotō, Yoshikazu Iwanami, and Makoto Miyazaki all return as editor, sound director, and music composer respectively.
The first cours had its own heavyweight music lineup: JAM Project with BABYMETAL performed the opening theme “Get No Satisfied!”, while Makoto Furukawa performed the ending theme “Soko ni Aru Akari” or “The Light, That's There.”
Why this matters for SEA fans
Analysis: One-Punch Man is one of those anime that still cuts through the noise because even casual fans know Saitama. A January 2027 second cours gives the production a clear next window and gives fans something concrete to track, especially after the long gaps between previous seasons.
For Malaysia and SEA viewers, the practical question now is simple: where will this part stream officially in our region? Until a platform is named for Malaysia or SEA, the best move is to treat the January 2027 timing as the anime’s return window, not as a confirmed local release detail.
