Pragmata’s Diana VA Nao Toyama Is Doing Her First Gaming Livestream

Capcom’s Pragmata is getting a neat little fan moment this week: Nao Toyama, the Japanese singer and voice actress behind Diana, is going to stream herself playing the game’s demo.

The stream is happening on May 15 at 11:00 AM UTC, which means 7:00 PM Malaysia time — honestly a pretty nice slot for SEA fans after work, class, or dinner. Toyama will be playing the Pragmata Sketchbook demo through her official YouTube channel.

The fun part? This will be Toyama’s first ever gaming livestream.

That makes this more than just another promo stream. Voice actors usually appear in trailers, stage events, radio shows, or behind-the-scenes interviews. Watching the actual performer behind a main character react to the game in real time is a different vibe, especially when the role is as central as Diana in Pragmata.

Toyama has already told fans she is a complete beginner when it comes to gaming, and asked viewers to be patient with her. So don’t expect sweaty speedrun energy here. This sounds more like a chill first-playthrough stream, which might actually be more entertaining for fans who want to see her genuine reactions.

For Malaysian and SEA anime fans, Toyama is not some random name either. She has a stacked resume across anime and games, including roles such as Kimberly in Street Fighter 6’s Japanese voice track, Mualani in Genshin Impact, Celica in Fire Emblem, and Mejiro Ramonu in Umamusume: Pretty Derby. If you follow gacha games, fighting games, or seasonal anime, there’s a good chance you have heard her voice somewhere before.

The timing also connects to Toyama’s own activities outside Pragmata. The stream is being held ahead of her final live concert, “Over the Rainbow at Nippon Budokan,” which is scheduled to take place 300 days from the announcement period.

For Capcom, this is a smart way to put Diana in front of fans again without just dropping another standard trailer. Pragmata has had plenty of curiosity around it because of its sci-fi setting and the mysterious dynamic between its characters. Letting Diana’s own voice actress play the demo gives the game a softer, more personal touch — especially for audiences who care about seiyuu culture as much as the game itself.

SEA fans should probably keep expectations realistic, though. Since this is Toyama’s official stream and she is a beginner, the appeal is less about deep gameplay analysis and more about personality, reactions, and seeing how she connects with the character she voices. If you’re already curious about Pragmata, this is a good low-commitment way to check out the demo’s mood before deciding how closely to follow the game.

Basically: if you like Capcom, seiyuu culture, or just want a wholesome “voice actress plays her own character’s game” moment, this one is worth bookmarking.
