Pokemon merch has gone from plushies and figures into full-on home décor, and honestly, this new Quagsire table is kind of dangerous for collectors. Pokemon Center Japan has opened pre-orders for a miniature side table designed after Quagsire, the permanently happy Water/Ground-type Pokémon that always looks like it has zero stress in life.
The catch? It is Japan-only for now, limited-time, and not exactly cheap.
Pre-orders for the Quagsire table are open through June 3, 2026, with shipping planned for late January 2027. The price is 35,200 yen, which Siliconera lists at around US$222.25. For Malaysian fans, that roughly puts it in the RM1,000+ zone before shipping, proxy fees, tax, or any reseller markup. So yes, this is less “casual room upgrade” and more “I am deep in the Pokémon merch hole and I accept my fate.”
Design-wise, the table is basically Quagsire sitting politely on the floor while doing its best to help you. The tabletop sits on its head like a tray, with a watery surface effect that makes it look like Quagsire is chilling just under the water. The front has that classic wide Quagsire smile, while the back includes its fin and purple pattern. Its tail also curls along the floor, which makes the whole thing feel more like a display piece than a normal side table from IKEA.
It is still functional, though — just do not treat it like a heavy-duty coffee table. The official page warns buyers not to place it outside or under direct sunlight, and hot items are also a no-go. There is a 10kg weight limit, so it should be fine for lighter stuff like books, a Switch 2 case, figures, snacks, or maybe your late-night teh ais if you are careful. But putting a PC tower or a huge aquarium on Quagsire’s head? Bro, don’t bully the guy.
For dimensions, the table measures 48.5 x 46 x 40cm and weighs about 6.1kg. It is also listed as non-refundable unless there is a manufacturing defect, which is important if you are planning to import it into Malaysia through a proxy service. Once it ships internationally, returns can become a headache fast.
The bigger question for SEA fans is whether this will show up outside Japan. Siliconera notes that similar Pokémon Center items sometimes appear later on worldwide Pokémon Center online stores, so there is a chance this could become easier to buy in the next few weeks or months. No guarantee, though. If you are in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, or the Philippines, your best move is probably to watch official Pokémon Center updates first before panic-paying reseller prices.
This Quagsire table also lands during a fun period for Pokémon fans, with the next announced Pokémon game, Pokemon Wind and Waves, set for Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027. That makes 2026-2027 feel like prime time for collectors to refresh their shelves, desks, and gaming corners before the next big Pokémon cycle starts.
Is it practical? Sort of. Is it expensive? Confirm gila. But as a soft, friendly-looking Pokémon furniture piece, this is exactly the kind of item that will make a gaming room feel less like a setup and more like a shrine.
